Investment DAOs, the "killer app" for DAOs
Miko Matsumura
DAOs are an internet-native decentralized coordination mechanism, significantly enabled by the ability to control and distribute on-chain assets and tokens. Virtually every kind of organization in the world could be converted into a DAO--but should they? Cooperative businesses certainly would make sense in this context, but there is often a mismatch between the technology strategy of legacy co-ops and new crypto assets. Right now, the lowest hanging fruit for DAOs is using crypto assets to buy other crypto assets which logically takes the form of an investment DAO. This form of DAO reduces some of the complexity of governing "improvement proposals" and can move quickly in a new world of decentralized finance.

How to Kickstart a DAO

DAOs are the new hype in building organizations for the crypto industry. But a DAO does not build itself. Like an organization it needs people to get the ball rolling. This keynote will give DAO builders hands-on advice on how to avoid pitfalls setting up their projects.

Landscape of DAO Tooling, Frameworks and Integration
Chris Adams
The world of DAOs is still in a nancent stage, even with the surge of headline grabbing DAOs in 2021. A big pain point in already established DAOs, is tooling that is safe, comprehensive and can be integrated in all aspects (think HR, billing, budgeting, treasury, etc) and subDAOs within DAOs. These tools need to be decentralized and immutable as well, or this opens another weak/attack vector. Also, DAOs need to have a social crediability/access control for their communties. All of these are being built and used right now, but the landscape is fast-moving. We will touch on these tooling, community and other frameworks that are being deplpoyed and used today.

2022 – The year of DAOs or Regulation?
Magnus Jones
DAO is a hot topic. However, tax & legal classifications and considerations are very often missing within the landscape. Is this a “free to move” landscape, or do we actually have existing applicable rules? Is anyone responsible for a DAO, and if so; who? Hear more about this and possibly upcoming AML/KYC and regulatory measures that might already come in place within the end of 2022. Looking into challenges as well as opportunities.
