Participants: Daniela Ghertovici, Vit Jedlicka, Patrik Schumacher, Shajay Bhooshan
Liberland Metaverse is founded by a joint venture between the Free Republic of Liberland, Zaha Hadid Architects, Mytaverse, and ArchAgenda. The co-founders presenting at this workshop are Vit Jedlicka (President of Liberland), Patrik Schumacher (Principal of Zaha Hadid Architects), Shajay Bhooshan (Head Zaha Hadid Architects Design and Computation group ZHACODE), and Daniela Ghertovici (Founding Director of ArchAgenda).
Liberland is the world’s newest sovereign microstate. It’s the first country that will be built and inhabited virtually in the Metaverse first, in advance of its realization IRL. We are not creating a game or fantasy world; we are building the Web3/ Crypto/ DeFi/ NFT knowledge economy hub of the world. We aim to eventually achieve a full mixed-reality metropolis in Liberland proper, as a continuum between the virtual and physical worlds.
Liberland is a crypto native, libertarian, values-based minarchy dedicated to radical innovation in governance, economy, jurisprudence, urban planning, architecture, technology and sustainability. It was established in 2015 on terra nillius between Croatia and Serbia, along the Danube River. Liberland has over 780,000 citizenship applicants, and a robust new E-residency program that is attracting cutting edge web3 and blockchain-based companies.
“Our goal is to build a country with a very limited state apparatus that will take care only of security, justice and diplomacy, and leave the rest to the private sector. We know very well that this strategy leads to the greatest progress in the long run. We learn from countries like Singapore, Liechtenstein, and Hong Kong.” ~ President Vit Jedlicka.
